WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE: ‘HOME’
HOME
This week, the Daily Post’s Photo Challenge turns our attention to that which brings home to mind. A seemingly simple request with profound implication since it’s vastly different for everyone. I decided to go with gut reaction to this challenge _ sharing photos of a time and place in childhood I’ve long since left behind but hold close to my heart though I live thousands of miles away.
Though born in New York City, I miss a lot of things about my formative years in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. I especially miss the ocean breeze and salt in the air walking along the Waterfront; running after school without a care in the world to see cruise ships dock at Havensight Mall where my mom worked; smelling fresh Bougainvillea in our family’s yard; eating hot roti at Carnival Village near the historic Fort Christian; and spending some of the best times of my life celebrating with friends and family at Magens Bay Beach.

Great Pics :)
Thanks so much!
