morning

I woke up to the news of Tiger Woods leaving pro golf “indefinitely” followed by a report that 10 children will die from hunger in 60 seconds (see WFP sidebar link). The latter finally made me launch a blog … a first for this reluctant blogger.

As a recently laid-off, middle-aged journalist, I’ve joined the ranks of the unemployed and become a bit of a cliché _ a casualty of the economic downturn, recession, whatever. The sky is clear, the sun is shining and it’s time to embark on a new journey.

So, that’s it … for now.
