‘chillaxin’

OK, who’s really surprised that “chillaxin” made the list of 2010 banned words? But “bromance” … c’mon.

The public can thank the brain trust at Lake Superior State University in Michigan for its 35th annual roundup of overused, misused and useless words http://www.lssu.edu/banished/.

Fine example of having too much time on your hands (or, in my case, insomnia). In all fairness, it was late night comic relief after discovering Scripps Networks pulled the plug on the Food Network and HGTV, which aired on Cablevision. Contract negotiations gone awry. Another kick in the gut of a gasping Fourth Estate. Wonder what the press will look like 10 years from now?

Guess I should thank my lucky stars for AMC’s continual loop of the “Matrix” trilogy. Nothing like watching Neo annihilate Agent Smith for the gazillionth time.
