Rubble Kings NYC

The HBO NY International Latino Film Festival  (Aug. 15-21) delivers an amazing lineup once again this year. Among those will be Rubble Kings, which premieres on Thursday, Aug. 18 at AMC Empire 18 in Times Square. It is the second feature documentary by Shan Nicholson and Ben Velez  (team behind the indie doc, Downtown Calling). They describe Rubble Kings as the most comprehensive documentation of the outlaw gang era of NYC in the late 60s to mid-70s and features rare footage and photography, as well as interviews with key historical figures from both sides of the law. Since the film is in festival mode and is not slated for full release elsewhere, tickets tend to sell out fast so I won’t wait until the last minute to catch Rubble Kings. Remember the movie Warriors? Well, this is the real deal.

    • Thanks so much for the support! Still an old school journalist who has grown a bit weary of the oversaturation of social media, so I’m not on Twitter, Facebook or Pinterest. But, I’ll keep writing and reaching those who may need it when its needed. Peace!

  1. Please let me know if you’re looking for a article author for your site. You have some really great posts and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d love to write some articles for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an email if interested. Thank you!
