News of Steve Jobs’ death spread instantaneously online last night as the innovative co-founder and genius behind Apple’s global empire left a profound legacy for generations to come. I clearly remember learning how to type on those boxy Macs in my high school computer lab back in the mid-80s. No one could have imagined what an impact Jobs would have on millions … ultimately developing perhaps the most valuable tech company in the world and in my lifetime. He followed his dream despite the naysayers, rose above being fired from a company he founded and never hesitated to ‘think different.’
Jobs is a creative visionary whose influence really cannot be measured. For all the cool, whiz-bang features defining Apple _ the iPad, iPhone, iPod, iMac and more _ the single most sobering fact is that Jobs has undoubtedly changed the lives of people from all walks of life. He led by example and what a fine example it was.
