MUSIC: Q&A with DJ Sabine Blaizin
DJ Sabine Blaizin shared some insight about the 2012 Winter Music Conference with Tania Fuentez Media before dashing off to Miami. She has a full schedule all week, starting today with the OCHA RECORDS ROOFTOP PARTY at the Clevelander South Beach featuring Carlos Mena (Ocha); Ron Trent (Prescription); Tommy Bones; Just Mo (YFM); Ausar Rafael Moraes (Nomumbah); Djinji Brown (Yoruba) and Cecil Carthen (thePeople, Ocha).
Check out the Q&A below for more details from this lovely and inspiring DJ.
TFM: So, what’s DJ Sabine listening to these days?
South African House, Deep Tech House, Global Soul, Haitian Roots music … Ocha Records music catalog of course is in steady rotation :)
TFM: What do you hope to accomplish this time around at WMC? How often have you attended and how has it changed over the years?
This will be my sixth year going … It’s great to see the connections and accomplishments I’ve made over the years. I have met people from all over the world, some of which have become business partners and close friends. My annual Brooklyn Mecca/Libation party has become a WMC staple. And, this year I’m excited to have joined Ocha Records family as Brand Marketing Manager, DJ/Producer.
WMC is a great opportunity to promote your brand as a DJ, producer, label and network with people you may not see or hear in your city/country. It has also become a dancer’s paradise … folks coming together for the love of house … and what better way than under the sun!
