MUSIC: Robin Gibb, Rest in Peace

ROBIN GIBB (1949-2012)

ROBIN GIBB (1949-2012)

It’s hard to believe yet another beloved icon of the 1970s, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, has died after a long battle with cancer. He was 62, and had been in a coma since mid-April. It is also a somber reality as millions tuned in to the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, which paid tribute to a living legend, Stevie Wonder, and the late Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys. May the music of these artist, and others we’ve lost recently, stay close to our hearts as fans remember what an eternal gift is left behind.
