MUSIC: ‘Beats & BBQ’ Toasts 5 Years of Good Times in Brooklyn

Beats & BBQ, which officially kicked off in 2007, has established itself as a feel-good summertime tradition on Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. DJ Ali Coleman, Reggie Johnson of WBAI 99.5 FM’s show “From the Soundboard,” Deepdance Promotions and the entire crew at LP ‘n Harmony deserve a round of applause and massive group hug from anyone who has found a slice of heaven (and plate of free BBQ with drink purchase) at the Brooklyn party.

This year’s inaugural “Mid-Spring Fling” marked the fifth anniversary of this soulful, earthy fest that organizers say “promotes community and togetherness through good food, good dance music and good cheer.” On Monday, Daily Session Radio provided live streaming and DJs on hand at the Williamsburg spot included: Jose G (Face The Bass Radio), Ali Coleman (Voice of Voice NYC), Siren (Save the Robots), Ruby Red (Velvet Factory Production), Dawn Anesta (Soul Fire), Monchan (Daily Session) and Glenn Thornton (Slaag Records). Traveller Records recording artist Fantasy also performed to a full house.

  1. Stumbled into this website by chance but I’m certain glad I clicked on that link. You genuinely answered all the queries I’ve been dying to answer for some time now. Will definitely come back for more of this. Thank you so much
