PHOTO: I Need Your Votes, 250 and Counting
I rarely enter contests of any kind, but the wind of change blows strong these days. FineArtAmerica.com, the world’s fastest growing art/photo site, is hosting an online photography competition for its next nationally broadcast TV commercial. Submission deadline is June 30, and participants need at least 250 votes to be considered. I dived in today and need your help, fellow art lovers, blog subscribers and newcomers to my site!
During open voting, visitors to FineArtAmerica.com can view all contest submissions and pick their favorites. A jury of FAA staff members and industry professionals will select five winners (announced Aug. 1st). My choice from thousands of pictures taken in a lifetime illustrates a moment of calm after the storm, in this case, Hurricane Sandy. I’ve learned from personal experience that more often than not, great things can stem from devastating loss.
Anyway, you’ve seen this one before, if a regular to the blog. Now, here’s a chance to support a struggling artist (not kidding, OK). Thanks in advance for your vote! Go forth and spread the word. You’ve got until Sunday, June 30.
