HEALTH: ‘Fed Up’? You Are What You Eat — Kick the Sugar Habit



Journalist-turned-talk show host Katie Couric’s days on daytime TV are limited, but she’s moving on to a new chapter and some enterprising projects. Though not a regular viewer, I caught her Jan. 24 show which highlights one of those endeavors, a new documentary about childhood obesity titled Fed Up.

I haven’t seen the film, but thought I’d pass along an important takeout from the Katie episode — we really are what we eat. The adage is so true and so timely with many people already hitting a wall in the midst of new year resolutions. If sugar and processed foods are on your list, stay the course. As difficult as it may seem, remember that your health and well-being hang in the balance.
